Larch Cottage

Our holiday this year turned out to be one of the most relaxing we’ve had in many a year. The reason for that was the gorgeous setting of Larch Cottage in Glenisla, set among the beautiful countryside of Angus in Scotland.
What’s more, we took along our two-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Pippin. The cottage was chosen initially for the fact that Pippin was welcome and from the get-go we were not disappointed. The garden – of about one acre – was secure and had plenty of space with grass and a fledgling wooded area for Pippin to explore, and there were no near neighbours unless you count the cows and wildlife!
The owners of the cottage had even provided dog bowls and pooh bags. It was so reassuring to know that we could open the doors and she could play safely – even flushing out a few pheasants! The countryside was made for long dog walks and we even found that the places we visited many of the shops and cafes were dog friendly.
