The cottage offers excellent woodland walking from the doorstep being close to The Tintern Trail, the Wye Valley Walk, Offas Dyke and the Monmouthshire Way. Tintern itself is in the heart of the Wye Valley and as well as the world famous Abbey there are several pubs, a couple of small cafes and two busy hotels -all offering food and several featuring local produce. The village even has a prizewinning vineyard and a microbrewery both open to visitors! Also in the village are a craft centre and vintage book shop. All Tintern businesses are pet friendly so your dog can go with you almost everywhere. The village is a popular tourist destination and particularly in summer is busy with everything from morris dancers and folk bands to cricket matches, festivals, music, weddings and numerous other events taking place. Catbrook although so close, is quieter and provides a great escape from busy lives.
