Edward the Railway Carriage

Sleeps: 2

Settled in the peaceful meadows of a working arable farm in the beautiful Waveney Valley, Edward is a lovingly re-imagined railway goods wagon that now offers a stylish eco-sensitive glamping getaway that compromises on neither luxury nor heritage. Settled in the peaceful meadows of a working arable farm in the beautiful Waveney Valley, Edward is a lovingly re-imagined railway goods wagon that now offers a stylish eco-sensitive glamping getaway that compromises on neither luxury nor heritage.
With its origins in the golden age of steam, Edward once formed part of the goods train that delivered milk from the dairy farm to markets in London and has been thoughtfully and sensitively converted into a perfect romantic getaway for two while still retaining echoes of its industrial heritage.
As you step through the french doors, the stylish interior in calm neutral tones immediately soothes the soul and encourages you to relax and unwind, while some of the retained original fittings pay homage to Edward’s industrial past.
Put the kettle on and relax on the comfortable sofa and if the day is a little chilly, the wood burning stove will ensure you are kept cosy and warm. On sun-drenched summer days, open the doors wide and step out onto the generous deck. Here’s the perfect spot to start that book you’ve been meaning to read, finish the crossword or just soak up the view across the valley – bliss! As the sun begins to set, the deck is the perfect spot for a sun-downer – or of course, to sit and watch as someone else prepares a feast with all the delicious local produce you’ve picked up during the day. Stoke up the firepit, pour a glass of wine and settle back to watch the skies as they darken and the constellations emerge in the inky blackness.
When it's time to settle down for the night, the sofa quickly and easily turns into a comfortable double bed to ensure a restful night before your adventures begin again. The en-suite shower room has lashings of hot water should you discover any aching muscles in the morning!
Your four-legged friend needn't miss out - and treats will be provided!
For two couples, Edward's companion, Victoria, is also available to book.
