The modern open-plan area is combined well with the rustic nature of the lodge, allowing you to rest your feet in front of the woodburning stove whilst watching TV or making the most of the WiFi. The iconic Welsh scenery is just metres away as it sits just beyond the large decking area through the double doors sat in the dining area. Alongside the lodges, the River Twymyn runs through the valley, where you might be able to spot a resident otter or mink, and being right in the heart of the Mid Wales countryside, there will always be ample opportunities to observe the array of amazing wildlife, such as red kites, buzzards, rabbits and pheasants. Amble towards the delightful amenities in Llanbrynmair, where you can find the Machinations visitor centre which benefits from a café, a children’s play barn, a rabbit village and a shop, so a fun day out can be had by everyone. Take advantage of the proximity to Snowdonia National Park, and be amazed at the incredible scenery of the Cambrian mountains, while just 40 minutes’ journey in the car can bring you to the seaside at Cardigan Bay, where you can run around the sandy beach or make sandcastles. Several nature reserves are close by, where you’ll be able to take part in cycling, sailing and fishing and of course plenty of walking trails, with Glyndwr Way just one miles away, and Hafren Forest and Llyn Clywedog being seven miles away. The bustling town of Machynlleth is 12-miles away, home to a weekly market, local independent businesses and shops, and a variety of eateries to be enjoyed for a spot of lunch or afternoon tea, before hopping on to the Wales Coastal Path which runs through the town.
