Bunk House Annex

We have a recently refurbished bunk house, with a double bed and a pair of bunk beds upstairs, and downstairs a comfortable lounge/diner/kitchen with a toilet/shower room. There is central heating in the winter and air conditioning for the warmer nights during the summer. We have designed the space with walkers in mind, with plenty of space for cleaning and drying muddy boots, and a fully equipped modern kitchen with ceramic hob, oven and microwave oven. We provide all bedding and towels, as well as broadband WIFI, and Freesat TV. The private, dog safe garden also has a lockable bike store. Business travellers have frequently used our accommodation as there is room to spread your work out on the dining table and use our free WIFI to catch up on paperwork.

The local town centre is five minutes walk away, and offers a choice of cafes during the day and several pubs that provide evening meals, as well as a Chinese takeaway, an Indian restaurant, a traditional chippy and a burger bar. There are also several convenience stores and a CO OP supermarket, as well as a green shop for supplies. in addition we have a myriad of independent shops, and a local museum. We are also home to the Spaceguard Centre. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit. Clun Castle is only 6 miles away or drive 12 miles into the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and find Craven Arms Discovery Centre with its display dedicated to the Woolly Mammoth, plus a truly excellent cafeteria. Head 25 miles West in to Mid Wales to find Rhayader and the beautiful Elan Valley.

We are close to the Offas Dyke Path, and Glyndwrs Way with the Offas Dyke Visitor Centre only 400 metres away, where you can enjoy coffee and home made cake while planning your stay. We are at the intersection of several walking trails, the most recent addition being the Heart of Wales Railway walking path. You can plan your walking holiday around doing sections of the path, travelling each day to a different railway station and doing different stretches. If you miss your train back, we will come out and rescue you by car. Travellers who come by car can park their vehicle on site. We have a large gated garden, and welcome well behaved dogs with their owners to the Bunk House Annex.
