Just a 10 minute drive away is the colourful market town of Keswick which sits alongside Derwentwater. The town is perfect for a day out with lots of shops and cafes to explore whilst the stunning scenery along Derwentwater up the Borrowdale Valley is perfect for a walk and picnic. Mountain bikers will love the Whinlatter Forest with its numerous trails to explore and of course the osprey observation unit is also worth visiting.
