Beaver Cottages (AA 4*) comprises two dog friendly self-catering cottages (sleeping up to 3 and 6), and a shepherds hut sleeping 2, within walking distance of the historic village of Tintagel and Trebarwith Strand beach in North Cornwall. Each has its own private dog friendly enclosed garden. There are loads of walks and paths in the area direct from the drive over a stile, a large National Trust common nearby, and the South West Coast Path is only ΒΌ mile away. The local beaches are dog friendly all year as are most of the pubs in the area and Tintagel Castle.
Read MoreThe Smithy has a kingsize bed and a lovely view out of the bedroom window towards the cliffs and the sunset. There is a small double sofabed in the lounge for an extra person. The enclosed garden has tall walls and fences. The Lodge has two bedrooms - one a double and one either a twin or superking, and there is a comfy double sofabed in the lounge. Again, there is an enclosed garden. The shepherds hut has a double bed, kitchenette and a small private patio area. The bathroom is a short walk down the drive. There is also a utility room with a freezer and washing machine for guests to use, along with beach toys and body boards. Each cottage has its own off road parking. Wifi is available in both of the cottages.

We stayed in The Smithy at Beaver Cottages and had a wonderful week's holiday with our 3 dogs. The cottage is cosy, fresh, clean and warm. It has everything you could possibly need including a private garden and drive. Nic and Steve made us feel extremely welcome and were full of local tips and ideas for where to go and what to do.
Tintagel town centre is just 15 minutes walk whilst the coastal path is just a few minutes walk away. There are 3 lovely tidal beaches very close and within a short drive are enormous and glorious non-tidal beaches at Rock and Widemouth.
Such a lovely part of the world with many local pubs serving the tastiest of local English ale, and many restaurants and cafes with amazing food. We particularly liked the cafe at the Tintagel Brewery and the Farm Cafe at Boscastle. These are both highly recommended, as is the food at the Port William public house.
We have no hesitation in recommending Beaver Cottages and Tintagel as we had such a lovely holiday with our dogs.
