Yorkshire Wolds Glamping

Here in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, we offer glamping accommodation where dogs are very welcome.

Yorkshire Wolds Glamping contains 4 beautifully converted railway wagons and 4 unique glamping pods, with our tasteful modern amenities block includes separate toilets and showers, all inclusive wet room with toilet, and a large communal kitchen with fridges, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery adding that extra convenience during your glamping stay. Also on our site we have a covered seating area, several outdoor fire pits, barbecues and outdoor cooking area, as well as an overnight cycle store. 

With the addition of a gravelled car park our lawned site also boasts a wildlife area, wildflower gardens, fruit trees and flowering borders all set in an acre and a half of land making the site feel really spacious. As well as our four converted railway wagons we have another old railway goods wagon which, if you visit during the summer months, you could be luck enough to see our resident nesting family of swallows.

The glamping site is dog friendly with facilities especially catering for your four legged friend.

Our beautifully converted railway wagons have been transformed into comfortable accommodation while still retaining their original character which date back to the 1930s. Each wagon having; real beds, en suite toilet with wash basin, comfortable seating, table and chairs, mains electricity and lighting, a mini fridge and travel kettle.  Two of our railway wagons have the added cosy factor of wood burning stoves.  Our wagons can accommodate up to four persons are open all year around and in cooler months we provide oil filled radiators for all our wagons.

Our unique glamping pods which have been skilfully converted from shipping containers each have; cosy real beds, mains electricity and lighting, a travel kettle, a table and chairs. Our glamping pods are adult only set in their own secluded quiet area on our site close to our facilities and can accommodate up to two individuals or a couple, they are open from 1st March to 31st October yearly. 

Set in beautiful surroundings in the Yorkshire Wolds, with stunning views , our Glamping site is well positioned with easy access to a number of great locations including the spectacular cliffs and beaches of the North and East coastline, the Yorkshire moors beautifully cloaked in heather with breathtaking scenery, the vibrant and historical city of York, Dalby Forest criss crossed with extensive walking and cycling routes catering for every access ability plus many others. 

If you love nothing more than having a break from the kitchen during your stay we have an amazing variety of dog friendly food serving public houses, restaurants, takeaways and other outlets within local the area. Catering for a wide variety of tastes and appetites from good pub grub to a la carte dining. Our own village has two dog friendly pubs within easy walking distance from the glamping site.

We also welcome glampers who want to enjoy a slower pace to their stay to relax and take in the secluded location to explore the local area and enjoy being in the peaceful rural countryside. It’s a perfect spot to come and chill out with a good book and a glass of your favourite tipple or feast on a variety of locally produced food accompanied by a good cuppa. We are a quiet policy site from 10:30pm for you to enjoy relaxing by an open fire under a starry sky.

Throughout the year we organise dog orientated activity weekends such as dog training weekends conducted by our professionally qualified dog trainer with one to one and group sessions throughout your stay and  ‘Just for Dogs’ weekends with guided walks, agility and retrieval sessions as well as the opportunity to capture special memories of your stay with a photoshoot with our resident professional photographer. Additionally we are happy to host bespoke activity weekends for photographers, cyclists and walkers.
