Situated in the scenic Scottish Borders near the historic towns of Hawick, Denholm and Jedburgh; Westcote Glamping’s Shepard's Hut, Beehive Pod, Showman's Hut and Gypsy Caravans are perfectly situated for you to experience some of the most spectacular views that Scotland has to offer. Newly built in 2017 we are specialising in luxury stays for both couples and families. We welcome dogs and additionally have stabling facilities so feel free to bring your dogs and horses in order to make the most of the 13 Scottish Borders Council trails in Hawick, as well as the remarkable Borders Abbeys Way walk that runs just North of us.
Read MoreOpened in the Spring 2018 we offer a variety of accommodation options: a Gypsy Caravan, a Beehive Pod, a Shepherd’s Hut and a Showman’s Hut. The former sleeps two, while the others can each can sleep up to four people comfortably. All accommodation options come with their own sets of warm brushed cotton sheets, luxurious feather duvets and outdoor decking areas equipped with a BBQ and fire pit. So feel free to sit under the spectacular Scottish stars that fall just north of Europe’s largest dark sky reserve whilst toasting marshmallows and drinking your complimentary bottle of Prosecco (2 night or more stay only).
The bonnie Borders region is rich in heritage and full of stuff to do. You will find beautiful countryside, exhilarating hikes, bustling market towns, historic ruins, stately homes and charming pubs.
Major local attractions include, Fatlips Castle, Jedburgh Abbey, St Boswells Donkey Sanctuary, the Borders Distillery and the Borders Abbey Way. However, our location also makes us the perfect gateway for you to experience the wonders of the wider Borders region, the Lothians and the North of England. Just to name a few reachable attractions: Melrose, Kelso, and Dryburgh Abbeys, Kielder Forest, and Hermitage Castle are less than a half an hour drive away; Edinburgh, Duns Castle, St Mary’s Loch and Hadrian's Wall an hour away; and Holy Island, North Berwick, Alnwick, Bamburgh and the Lake District reachable in approximately an hour and a half.
