The bus stop leading to Eastbourne is from outside the main gate to your left, where you can catch a bus to Asda and the Crumbles shopping centre and on to the town centre where there is a wide variety of restaurants and entertainment spots including a cinema inside the Beacon at the Arndale Centre. Also in Eastbourne you can enjoy a night out at the theatres Devonshire and Talk of the Town, Hippodrome. Eastbourne pier also has live music the bandstand on a Wednesday and Friday night weather permitting. They also do afternoon tea dance at the band stand that’s to be booked in advance – you can get the tickets from the ticket office on the prom. Walking along the prom you can find a few beach bars and shops, and there are sometimes markets along the prom where you can find a wide range of interesting items and eateries including a Spanish Chocolate store and German sausages and a whole range of other fancy foods from a wide range of nations. Continuing to Terminus road on the bus you will find a selection of foreign restaurants and English Fish and Chips. At the pier you will find tea rooms and nightclub and arcades. Heading along the prom towards the Wish Tower there is a lovely café at the top which is wheelchair/pushchair accessible also pet friendly. Holy Well is a beautiful little café for relaxing and refreshing yourself before heading off to the Beachy Head walk along the headland, if you are fit and able you can climb the steps to the top to the Beachy Head. However, there is a road which you can take A259, this is the wheelchair/pushchair accessible route. From Pevensey Bay to Beachy Head restaurant/pub it could cost approximately £12 in the taxi. If you fancy a day out in Brighton, just follow the signs on the A259 by car. There is a great bakery Ocean View which has fresh baked bread daily and is open for breakfast and also has a lovely lunch time menu, it is pet friendly (dogs in seating area outside in the garden) This is easily accessible from the beach. On the beach there is the Aqua Bar which is also pet friendly. Pevensey Castle is within easy walking distance from the Holiday Park, you can either drive to the castle car park where you can enjoy a variety of eateries and tea rooms. The Castle has a pretty walkway which is wheelchair friendly. Although walking the dogs across the fields and long the riverside to the castle is possible from the holiday park.
