We know from personal experience that owning a dog is a great pleasure, but can also be problematic when you want to take it on holiday with you because many hotels and B&Bs do not allow dogs, although thankfully that's improving.
So we have set up Rover Rentals to solve that problem - we have two motorhomes for hire which are especially designed for people with dogs. It is more than just saying we are 'Pet Friendly', we provide canine comforts and will not charge extra for your four legged friend(s) to join you as you tour around Scotland.
Rover Rentals is a personal run business, started in August 2016, which has two 4-berth self-contained motorhomes. Both vehicles are very similar with fixed rear beds, as we believe that they are the ideal size vehicle for a comfortable touring holiday with a dog; more spacious than a campervan, easier to manoeuvre than a caravan, and gives you the flexibility to park up wherever you like as you have everything you need on board. The motorhomes have been kitted out to cope with cold weather, so can be used all year round.
Within reason, we do not mind how many dogs you bring with you, provided you are happy that you'll all fit into the motorhome comfortably, and the dogs are well behaved. So far all damage has been caused by human error, not by canines!

We have just returned home after travelling around the N500 in our Rover Rental Motorhome, Prufski. We can certainly recommend Helen and Rover Rentals. This was our first Motorhome adventure with Meg, our dog. We enjoyed every moment, taking in the beautiful scenery and meeting such friendly people. Helen was very helpful, gave us useful advice and had thought of everything we would need for ourselves and Meg in the Motorhome. We cannot recommend her enough and hope to do a return adventure. We have just completed the North Coast 500 in a great camper from Rover Rentals. The van was well equipped with everything we needed for our Dog ‘Stanley’ from bowls, towels, toys, dog fence and comfy bed! We all had a great time and would highly recommend using Rover Rentals, perfect for people and pooches!

Margaret goes out of the way to make her camper vans dog friendly including loads of helpful extras like dog bowls, dog towels and even a metal spike and rope for making sure your dog doesn't run off.
