There are 3 zones for dogs. Zone A is from the slipway north to the rocks and dogs are banned here. Zone B stretches from the slipway south for 1/4 mile until the red dog bin and dogs are allowed here with leads. South of the red dog bin is Zone C where dogs are allowed without leads

We stayed at Manleigh Park, Devon for our first ever holiday with our puppy (at the time!) Shadow. To be honest, the first few days we struggled with where we could take a lively Flat Coated Retriever puppy, still learning his recall and basic lead training. The owner of Manleigh Park recommended Saunton Sands and our dream of owning a dog and taking amazing beach holidays was finally realised. Miles and miles of sand for him to run and play, with other dogs few and far between. Some of our best memories (and photos on our walls) are from our time at Saunton Sands - in my opinion - the best dog friendly beach you will ever discover.

This beach is very special to us. It was where our pup learnt to swim in the surf and play with her tennis ball (my favourite thing)
Very sadly, we lost her last year. We returned there a few weeks afterwards, and scattered her ashes. So she can always play free.

Just a fabulous beach for dog’s! Off lead all year.
