We crossed the causeway to Holy Island and before entering the main area there is a little car park on the left. Then you go over some dunes and come across the biggest emptiest beach I have ever seen in my life. The dogs had an amazing time running up and down, a bit of a walk out to the sea, but it was just amazing having this whole vast beach to ourselves and then it is just a short drive into the main part of the island where everything is dog friendly. Watch those tide timings for leaving though.

I absolutely love Holy Island, the pubs and shops are dog friendly. If you stay here it's such a beautiful private place once the tide comes in and the tourists go back to the mainland. You can watch the seals on the sandbanks in the causeway and also see them swimming out to see as the tide come in.
I have to give the beaches here a 4 star rating though as all dog owners should be aware there are Piri Piri burs in the sand dunes. They can cause a real pain to you
